In 2013/14, the office of the founding conference for the establishment of a nursing chamber in Rhineland-Palatinate was located at the university. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate initiated the project to accompany the legislative process. Core tasks were the preconception of the new chamber and public relations. From Ludwigshafen, more than 250 information events were coordinated throughout the state and beyond. In this way, it was possible to "reach more than 11000 caregivers, to enter into direct dialogue with them and to record their wishes, demands, but also fears" (Kuhn 2016).
