Care ethics. Decorative accessory or VALUABLE necessity?
Time: Monday, June 13, 2022; 3.00 - 6.30 p.m.
Location: Catholic Academy DIE WOLFSBURG; Falkenweg 6; 45478 Mülheim an der Ruhr
Care, attention, preservation of dignity and autonomy mean that care plays an important role for sick and elderly people. But what role does care play in the ethical discourse? Medical ethics has become increasingly important in recent years. But doesn't the special role of nursing care require its own professional ethics to complement medical ethics or an orientation guide for reflective and value-oriented nursing care? What is the special nature of nursing ethics?
What is its relationship to medical ethics? What role do care ethics play in the everyday life of a hospital, care facility or home care? What role can it play in society after the experiences of the coronavirus pandemic? And is it more than just professional ethics?
