3rd symposium on health promotion & Prevention in nursing care

PRO*PFLEGE: Nursing Ethics - Health Promotion - Professionalism &

Digitization in nursing - challenge or opportunity for the health of nursing professionals

Do we want to be drivers or driven?

Monday, 06.11. until Tuesday 07.11.2023

Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear  colleagues,

We cordially invite you to the 3rd Symposium on Health Promotion and Prevention on November 6 and 7, 2023 at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. The focus this time is entirely on care ethics, health promotion and professionalism in interaction with digitalization. These building blocks can help, they enable nursing professionals to perform their healing profession of nursing in a healthy way and to shape it themselves. The HWG Health Research Network has not only invited experts from politics, science, management and IT to discuss this with you: At the Marketplace of Opportunities you can try out new techniques and gather impulses to improve your everyday work.

The two days will present two closely interwoven building blocks for promoting health. On the first day, the focus is on PRO*PFLEGE. The results of the successful 2019 and 2020 symposia revealed the urgent need for a tailored educational format. PRO*PFLEGE combines nursing ethics, health promotion and professionalism. The certificate course offers nursing professionals manifold resources to increase their ability to act and resilience in the nursing organization. Funded by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the RLP Accident Insurance Fund, and the Franziskus Foundation for Nursing, the Health Research Network developed PRO*PFLEGE with support from the Graduate School Rhein-Neckar. The pilot run started in April 2023, and highly qualified experts were recruited as cooperation partners. On this day, they provide insights into instruments for dealing with psychological stress and violence in nursing and show the resources offered by nursing ethics, personnel and organizational development and occupational health management. Course participants present the concepts they have developed for promoting health in the care organization.

The second day follows on directly from the idea of support: Digitization is on everyone's lips; it is supposed to improve the situation in care. The symposium will focus in particular on the aspects relevant to health. Experts from nursing science, nursing pedagogy and IT in nursing will present projects, studies and tools for nursing. The discussion will focus on the extent to which digitization influences the job satisfaction and career retention of nursing professionals; whether digital technologies can support nursing practice, for example in the care of people with dementia, without displacing relational work; whether digital learning formats can promote nursing education and whether the nursing relationship is strengthened by the use of digital tools in the nursing process.

From a professional perspective, the nursing profession must ask itself whether we nursing professionals want to be drivers or drivers of digitalization in our own field of work.

These are your days. Be our guest. Get involved!

Practice supervisors can claim the conference as professional pedagogical continuing education for according to § 4 para. 3 PflAPrV. Nursing professionals receive continuing education points from the"Registration of Professional Nurses".

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, we look forward to welcoming you back to Ludwigshafen for two interesting days!
