The Health Research Network is part of the Executive Board of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. The head and network coordinator, Dr. Kuhn, works closely with the university management, Prof. Dr. Gunther Piller.

The President represents the university externally, is head of department and chairs the university senate. His areas of responsibility are university policy, research and transfer, committee work and the representation of the university.

Dr. rer. cur. Andrea Kuhn, M.A. Nursing Science, B.A. Nursing & Health Promotion, Nursing Specialist RN

Dr. Andrea Kuhn heads the Health Research Network. In 2023, she completed her doctorate on the ethical mandate of nursing chambers. In the process, she developed a program theory from a health promotion perspective.

She studied nursing and health promotion at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt and subsequently nursing science. Prior to this, she worked as a nurse for twenty years, mainly in the intensive care sector. She has extensive experience in the various areas of nursing and related disciplines, particularly in ethics, health promotion, the nursing profession and education.

She has been a research assistant at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society since 2013. She initially headed the office of the founding conference for the establishment of a nursing chamber in Rhineland-Palatinate. Since 2015, she has been building up the university's health research network.
