The precursor: Skilled Workers and Qualification Initiative 1.0

Project of the Competence Center for Sustainable Work at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences

The first agreement on the Skilled Workers and Qualification Initiative

The Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society supervised the groundbreaking first Skilled Workers and Qualification Initiative (FQI 1.0) from 2012 to 2015. This was based on the first agreement drawn up in 2012 with all stakeholders in the healthcare and nursing sectors in Rhineland-Palatinate. Based on eleven current fields of action that are of particular importance for the training and employment field of nursing, the aim of all stakeholders was to work together to secure the skilled worker base. The contributions of all stakeholders are crucial to this. They will make every effort to achieve the initiative's self-imposed goals, and the FQI 1.0 stakeholders are committed to the success of the joint initiative (see Nursing Reports No. 25, further details on the first agreement can be found there).

The implementation phase of FQI 1.0

The project management for the implementation phase of FQI 1.0 from 2013 - 2015 was based at the Competence Center for Sustainable Work at the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society. The project manager was Ms. Claire Mack, M.A. Nursing Science. The project consisted of five implementation parts: A project group discussed possibilities and guidelines for sustainable employment conditions at the MSAGD. In addition, four state projects were carried out to improve employment conditions. The overarching goal of all measures was to develop an employee-friendly and customer-friendly corporate culture. All fields of action were in the service of this ambitious goal, which can only be achieved in the long term (see Reports from the care sector no. 27, further details on implementation can be found there).
